Last month, Samia declared that various specialists would cover tracks from her sophomore collection Honey as a component of a series called Honey Reconsidered. We’ve previously heard Blondshell’s interpretation of “Appeal You,” and today Maya Hawke is presenting a variant of the collection’s title track.
“At the point when we were recording Honey for the collection we added this unexpected profundity by transforming what was initially a difficult tune into a sort of open air fire chime in — huge fun guitars, a blissful song, that perpetual refrain,” Samia said in an explanation, proceeding:

So I was anxious to hear how Maya would manage it. Shockingly, she stripped all of the pit fire away. In her variant you can hear all of the franticness in how spare the creation is. Investigating these new vantage focuses in my own work is precisely exact thing attracts me to the Rethought idea”

Hawke added: “It’s something astounding when a most loved individual composes a main tune. I was regarded to be approached to cover ‘Honey’ and I needed to draw out the bitterness I felt behind the festival. I cherished working with Will Graefe as a maker. I’ve never recorded a melody without him and encountering him as a maker was stunningly better.”
